Linda Moxsom Skinner was nominated as the Nova Scotia NDP candidate for Timberlea-Prospect on November 26, 2016.
Linda has distinguished herself as a strong community advocate and activist. Her commitment to social, environmental and economic justice is evident in her leadership roles in business, government, politics and education. Linda has served on the Board of the Woodens River Watershed Environmental Organization and was a founding member of the BLT Today Community Group that will host Earth Day Community Clean Up, Easter Egg Hunt, Family Day Skate, Canada Day, MADD Roadside Sobriety Check, Harvest Day and a community tree lighting. Linda also currently serves as a member of the NS Leadership Prayer Breakfast. She is a strong supporter of the Terence Bay Lighthouse Committee and the SS Atlantic Board and will also continue her work with the District 12 Councillor for a new community centre.
Linda is currently the Director of Advancement at the Atlantic School of Theology as well as a student of ethics and leadership.
Linda is committed to continuing to serve her community. She currently resides in Timberlea with her husband Tom Skinner and they enjoy spending time with their grown children and grandchildren.
